About the Club

The Old Wilsonians Tennis Club is one of the individual Sports Sections under the umbrella of the Old Wilsonians Association. The Tennis Club is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and is open to all members of the public.

The Club has four artificial grass courts and three all weather porous macadam hard courts, all floodlit, making tennis here an all year round sport.

The courts are set within a seven acre sports complex with a fine clubhouse, complete with changing facilities, showers and a bar/clubroom open every evening.

Activities

The club runs a number of men's, ladies and mixed teams in both the Kent and North Kent leagues. This year we also entered a boys U15 team in the North Kent League.

The year 2004 Summer Seasons will start with an 'Opening of the Season' tournament and tea on Sunday 4th April 2004.

Each year the club holds a Handicap and an Open Tournament. The Handicap Tournament will have its Finals Day on Saturday 3rd April.

The Open Tournament will start on Monday 7th June and run until finals day on Sunday 11th July.

There are various other tournaments and fun events held during the year, as well as social activities in the clubhouse such as quiz evenings, lunches, barbecues, our famous Beaujolais Night and the End of Season Party.

There is an annual draw for Wimbledon tickets. There is also a '100-Club' in which a prize draw is held every month.
