GREAT NEWS – A WIN FOR OUR 12 & U BOYS TEAM IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE WINTER FINALS

Our team in 12U Boys Division 2 - North Kent B played 4 matches in their division of the National League, then a semi-final at Canterbury to reach the final without dropping a single match. What an achievement! Last weekend they hosted their postponed final against Shooters Hill, the match being held over from 29 March due to the pandemic. Old Wilsonians’ won the match 3-0 against a team of particularly nice people.

The OWA players were especially strong in the singles matches with Flynn Davies beating Thomas Guichard 4:1, 4:2 and Daniel Suckling beating Danylo Kulishko 4:2, 4:2 The 2 lads then teamed up to win a tight doubles by 4:2 4:3 (7-5). The doubles match was very exciting and the second set went to a tie-break in which Shooters Hill came back from 0-6 to lose 7-5. The boys all played really well. The doubles was great to watch. Thanks to everyone who supported the players on the day.

The boys who played in the final are pictured below - Flynn Davies (in the hat) and Daniel Suckling. Also playing in the team in earlier matches were Omar Edet and Eoin Moore. Everyone played their part in this team success.
