OW Recycling Programme

As part of our commitment to improving the sustainability of the Old Wilsonians Sports Club and reducing our environmental impact, I am pleased to let you know that we have introduced a recycling programme across the club premises.

I would be grateful if you could share this message with your members and encourage them to help make the initiative a success by ensuring that all rubbish and waste is placed in the correct bins provided.

Please take a moment to remind members to:

• Use the designated recycling bins for dry recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and cans.

• Place general waste in the appropriate domestic waste bins.

• Dispose of food waste and other non-recyclable items in the domestic waste bins 

• Leave all club facilities clean and tidy after use.

The success of this initiative relies on the support and cooperation of all sections of the club. By making a small effort to sort waste correctly, we can collectively reduce the amount domestic waste we produce and help maintain a cleaner environment for everyone - if we make this work the OWA will also save around £700 a year. 

The big bins are now locked (there is a key behind the bar) please ask your members to not leave rubbish outside the bins and ensure rubbish goes in the correct bins.
