Old Colfeians Sunday Xl 256 for 5, Old Wilosians 156

Old Colfeians took full advantage of an excellent batting wicket and raced to 256 for 5 in just 35 overs, Mark Chakrauarti (47), Vikei Desai *47), Anil Geholt (77) and Dominic Adolpha (32 n,o) being the main beneficiaries

The Wilsonian reply started well enough as Velsen Devarajula (47) and George Castle (42) put on 98 for the first wicket, but the side failed to build on this good start as Jony Singh, 5 for 33, and Louis Jagger, 3 for 28, bowled Colfeianns to a comfortable victory

Old Wilsonians 196 Bromley Common 199 for 7

Bromley Common approached their penultimate game of the season knowing that victory could see them with one foot, if not both, in the Championship and when they dismissed Old Wilsonians for 196 the bowlers knew that they had done their job and it was now up to the batsmen and, at 86 for 4, the nerves began to kick in
However, a fifth wicket stand of 70 between Ollie Hickford (71 n,o) and Rajat Sharma (40) put them back on track and although the OWs took another couple of wickets, the cool head of Hickford saw him carry his bat in a determined, dogged and essential innings that lasted 146 balls
Earlier the Old Wilsonian innings had stuttered and although Andrew Pomering (26), Velson Devarajula (35), Louis Pryor (34), Syd Sherlock (41) and Elliott Bettridge (24 n.o) had all made good starts, what they really needed was for at least one of them to make a really big score
Sam Clarkson, 4 for 34, was the prime wicket taker for the Common, his second spell seeing a return of 3 for 10 in 3.4 overs
As for the OWs they will now play their cricket in Division Two next season, but they can take heart from their last two games - this one, the game could have gone either way - and a narrow one wicket defeat at Kings Hill
They are a side who pride themselves on the development of their colts section - nine of the side who played in this game graduated in this way - and they all still have their best cricketing days before them

Old Wilsonians 2nd Xl 191 for 9, Old Roan 1st Xl 185 for 6

In a tight game Old Wilsonians secured the points they needed to maintain their status in Division 6 Spitfire but by just six runs.
Batting first they were heavily reliant on Steve Blunt (64) and Ali Hasan Butt (50) for well over half of their runs as Srin Pertungauur, Keith Barron and Joe Franklin all took two wickets for the hosts
The Roan reply also owed much to two players, Joe Randle (59) and Ben Pearce (49 n.o), with the ubiquitous Blunt taking 4 for 40

Old Wilsonians 3rd Xl 168 for 5, Orpington 3rd Xl 157 for 8

Some consistent batting from Alex Forbes (25), Chetan Kamat (29), Nathan Carpenter (18), Sam Marshall (16) and Josh Frampton (36 n.o) enabled Old Wilsonians to finish on a commendable 168 for 5 from their 40 overs, with Sam Wilkinson taking 3 for 35 for Orpington.
The visitors, too, batted well, Mike Reade (22), Finlay Webb (28) and Rob Manik (21 n.o) in particular, but they fell 12 runs short of their target, Simon Doherty taking 3 for 32 for the OWs

Old Wilsonians 4th Xl 115, Dulwich 6th Xl 116 for 6

In a low scoring game Dulwich defeated Old Wilsonians by four wickets, with only Neil Treacher (24) scoring with any really effect for the OWs, with Matthew Craig finishing with 6 for 24 for Dulwich
Richard Blench (27) then set the tone for the hosts whilst Vipul Patel (23 n.o) saw them safely home after a mid-order wobble
