Beckenham 2nd Xl 285 for 7 Old Wilsonians 1st X1 289 for 5
A fourth wicket stand of 215 between Mahith Perera (113 n,o) and Louis Pryor (109) rescued Old Wilsonians after Beckenham had made early inroads into their top order to steer them to a five wicket victory in a game that produced 574 runs
This was the OWs second win a row and they can now look forward to the second half of the season with a great deal of optimism
Beckenham were defending a total of 285 thanks to some fine batting of their own, Stevie Santhiapillai (97), Bobby Harris (58) and Tom Cullen (51) leading the way, but, on a day when the bat ruled the ball, only Beckenham's Luke Sanders, 3 for 36, will want to be reminded of his figuresOld Wilsonians 2nd Xl 211 for 7, Catford Wanderers 2nd X1 121
Facing a total of 211, Catford Wanderers were bowled out for 121 by Old Wilsonians in just 24 overs and, but for a last wicket stand of 36 between Chayergoon Persaud (12 n.o) and Shibu Sivaranjan (22) it could have been worse as Kent Over 50s stars, Doug Forbes, 5 for 39 and Siva Ranjan, 3 for 17, put them to the sword
Earlier the OW innings revolved around Dan Seston (63 n.o) with useful contributions coming from Dan Nichols (32), Danny Phillips (20) and the ubiquitous Ranjan (23)Old Colfeians 4th Xl 281 Old Wilsonians 3rd Xl 107
Some excellent batting from Naman Nagar (48), Praveen Dhinwa (45), Ashish Khaktar (36) and Dean Stevens (33) enabled Old Colfeians to finish on an impressive 281, with Rahmet Dawoodzai and Lawrence Wilson both taking three wickets for Old Wilsonians
The latter's reply started disastrously as they lost early wickets but some stubborn resistance from Chetan Kamat (23), George Castle (21) and Ben Rodda (16) restored some pride with 'man of the match' Dhina finishing with 5 for 30 for Colfes, ably assisted by Teddy Phelps, 3 for 18Old Wilsonians 4th Xl 147 Blackheath 7th Xl 139
In a tight finish Old Wilsonians defeated Blackheath by just eight runs
Batting first the OWs made 147 - a good snooker score - with Jason James (36) and Howard Abbett (19) being their main contributors, with Ken Ayyasamy, 4 for 24, starring for Blackheath
The Blackheath reply started well enough, Sakeeb Ahmed (27) and Talha Sheikh (49) looking in fine fettle, but some good bowling by Matthew Carruthers, 3 for 35, and Karim Mir, 3 for 24, changed the game to bring it to an exciting climax
