Roebucks 300 for 8, Old Wilsonians 233
Roebucks scored at exactly a run a ball in this game against Old Wilsonians, the major contributions coming from Carleon Brome (52), Kevin Ramsay (52), Dilawar Hussain (61), Amjad Khan (45 n,o) and Muhammed Juniad Ashaf (27 n,o), with Velson Devarajulu, 3 for 39 being the most successful of the visiting bowlers.
The OW reply started well, with the ubiquitous Devarajulu (31) and Syd Sherlock (50) seeing them off to a fine start, whilst Shehan Sivaranjan (27), Dan Seston (22) and Louis Pryor (21) also scored well, but, unlike the hosts, they were dismissed when well set which proved the difference between the two sides, as they fell to a 67 run defeat, Junad Nadir mopping up their tale to finish with 3 for 45 for the victors.
Old Wilsonians 2nd Xl 236 for 7, Old Roan 1st Xl 167 for 8
A fifth wicket stand of 93 between Ali Hasan Butt (68) and Danny Phillips (64 n.o), followed by one of 65 between Phillips and Kenny Maxwell (28), enabled Old Wilsonians to finish on a respectable 236 for 7 from their 45 overs, Matthew Witham being Old Roan's out-standing bowler with 4 for 41.
The visitor's reply started disastrously, with the score-board reading 3 for 2, but some grit and determination from Joe Randle (50) and Conall Askew (13) enabled them to push the score to 72 before they were separated.
However, the OWs then took wickets on a regular basis until a spirited, and unbeaten, eighth wicket stand of 34 between Martyn Prendergast (28 n.o) and Matthew Witham (23 n.o) enabled Roan to claim two batting points.
Steve Blunt, who had earlier scored 38 with the bat, was the most successful of the home bowlers, finishing with 4 for 34
Old Wilsonians 3rd 193, Ex-Blues 1st Xl 194 for 2
The Old Wilsonians' top three. Chethan Kamat (50), Max Ruskin (35) and Nathan Carpenter (23) laid a solid foundation but after their respective dismissals only Barrie Frampton (31), made any other sizeable contribution as Saravanan Mani, 3 for 22, and Justin Shill, 3 for 41, bowled Ex-Blues back into the game, restricting the visitors to 193 all out.
The host's openers, Jack Stone (94) and Kieran Gibbons (57) then virtually won the game on their own as they romped home with over 10 overs, Nathan Carpenter taking both of the wickets to fall for 47 runs
Streatham & Marlborough 6th Xl 84 for 9, Old Wilsonians 4th Xl 86 for 6
In a low scoring game Old Wilsonians managed to achieve a four wicket victory over Streatham & Marlborough but it was touch and go.
The latter never really came to terms with the guile of the OW opening bowler, Nick Herbert, who finished with fine figures of 4 for 16, with only Karthik Harith (16) and Andrew Shackleford (14 n.o) causing him any problems
When it came to their turn to bat, the OWs found batting equally difficult and, but for Grahame Nelson (19 n.o), Kevin Carruthers (15) and, latterly Neil Treacher (11) and Jason James (11 n.o) they may not have reached their target, Streatham's Lucas Causier, 3 for 22, also shining with the ball
