Old Wilsonians 274 for 8 Bexleheath 236
This was an important game for both sides, as Bexleyheath sought to maintain their promotion push and Old Wilsonians determined to stave off the threat of relegation, and it was the former who drew first blood, reducing the latter to 23 for 3 in the first half hour of play
However, and not for the first time this season, Mahith Perera (108) and Louis Pryor (109) completely turned their innings around with a fourth wicket stand of 224, both reaching their respective centuries with towering sixes, and although the OWs then lost cheap wickets in search of an imposing total, they went into tea well satisfied with a score of 274 for 8
Bexleyheath's top order went cheaply before Jake Kendall (63) gave them renewed hope but only Sam McClaren-George, with a swash-buckling 31, threatened to deny the visitors victory which they claimed with 11 balls to spare and by 38 runs
Jason Batson, 4 for 73, was the most successful of the Bexleyheath bowlers in terms of wickets, but it was TK Khan, 1 for 22 in 10 overs, who addressed the laws of league cricket most succinctly, whilst Old Wilsonian David Pilgrim, 0 for 25 from his own 10 overs, was equally thrifty, although Elliot Bettridge, Harry Williams, Ollie Willis and Sam Forbes will all argue that they all took two wickets each; which they did!Bickley Park 2nd Xl 261 for 7, Old Wilsonians 2nd Xl 190
Thanks primarily to Will Holcombe (95) and Michael King (68), with a useful 28 from Harry Stafford, Bickley Park were able to make a competitive 261 for 7 in this game against Old Wilsonians, with James Sellar, 3 for 28, being the most successful of the home bowlers
The OW reply started well enough with Siva Ranjan (38) and Harley Trucker (22) putting on 70 for the first wicket but, after them, only Kenny Maxwell (21) and Joe Jukes (24) batted with any intent and the visitors secured a 71 run victory, Xavier Darroch, 3 for 34, leading the way with the ballOrpington 3rd Xl 224 for 5, Old Wilsonians 3rd Xl 121
Some steady and purposeful batting from Mike Reade (30), Andy Kenwood (78), Daniel Berry (33) and John Marle (34 n.o) enabled Orpington to compile an impressive 224 for 5 from their 40 overs, with Doug Forbes taking 2 for 32 for Old Wilsonians
The latter's reply never got going, with George Castle and Raf Skillicorn top scoring with 19 and 19 not out respectively, as Bobby Jones finished with 3 for 17 for the hosts and Robin Husain, Rob Mank and Iahtiaq Azram picking up two wickets apieceOld Wilsonians Sunday Development 241 for 6, Bexley 204
A commanding innings of 113 from the Old Wilsonian opening bat and skipper Dan Nichols was the highlight of this game and enabled his side to record a 37 run victory against Bexley, with Eoin Matthews (34) also making a useful contribution whilst Joshua Foley took 2 for 33 for the visitors
The Bexley reply never got going with only Siddharth Sah (38) and Matthew Smith (30) making any significant contributions and they were bowled out in the 34th over, Eoin Matthews, 3 for 36 and Theo Disberry, 3 for 41, being the main beneficiaries
